Agiltima contribute to UK Cyber Security Skills Strategy

Following a request for Call for Views by the Department of Digital, Culture, Sports & Media the Agiltima team attended Wednesday’s Cyber Security Skills Strategy event hosted by TechUK.

Following two short presentations six break out groups consisting of attendees from across tech, academia and a number of private sector industries spent the morning reviewing the UK’s cyber skill strategy to meet the demand of an increasingly digital economy.

Much of the round table discussions focused on how the UK can create a vibrant education and training ecosystem. The Public Sector is particularly keen in leading the way by ensuring the UK is the best place in the world to be a cyber security professional and to attract and retain the best talent. Needless to say there are a number of significant challenges to be addressed if the UK is to become a world leader in the field.

The Agiltima attendees were queried on how software delivery teams bake security and vulnerability testing into the development of products and applications. Our key point was the need to strike a balance between quality, security and the ability to rapidly deploy in a fast moving market.

If you would like to contribute to the Call for Views there is still an opportunity to do so via the link below or you can apply to attend one of this weeks events at Birmingham, Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester.
